Alice Wong, a Year 4 Digital Marketing student, completed a credit-bearing internship with Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel last summer. A few key takeaways from her internship journey:
"During my internship at Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel as an HR Intern, I assisted in internal communication and administrative tasks, including producing employee guidelines and designing promotional materials for staff events.
Among those initiatives, my co-ordination of a project called "Project We Can" was especially meaningful. I guided secondary students to experience real workplace life and supported them in adapting to the company environment. Seeing them become more confident, gave me a strong sense of accomplishment and taught me the importance of patience, communication, and teamwork.
This internship gave me the opportunity to step outside my comfort zone, helped me develop diverse abilities, and better prepared me for my future career.
I am grateful for this opportunity and thankful to everyone who supported and guided me throughout the internship."
