Meet Rico Lee, a Financial Technology graduate, completed a credit-bearing internship with Shanghai Commercial Bank.
“This internship was an invaluable experience. I feel a profound sense of accomplishment from contributing to real-world projects and implementing my own ideas. As an assistant in the finance division, my responsibilities included supporting business-as-usual (BAU) tasks such as preparing interim disclosure statements, assisting the team in developing budget-related master templates, calculating internal rent, and determining administrative fees. I also used my knowledge in fintech to automate and refine the process of creating budget-related templates.
I’m grateful for the mentorship provided by my supervisor and colleagues. Their guidance helped me enhance my technical skills and gain a broader understanding of the banking sector. Although I faced challenges with unfamiliar technologies, these obstacles became valuable learning opportunities. Overall, this internship at Shanghai Commercial Bank has become a cornerstone for my future career.”
