Mr Weiqi Zhao, the Global Director of Developer Ecosystem at Hangzhou Rokid Technology Co., Limited, visited Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU) and gave an engaging talk on 7 November 2024. He also demonstrated Rokid’s latest AR glasses at a workshop. The event brought together students from the Media Design and Immersive Technology as well as Applied Data Science programmes.
As a key supporter of HKSYU’s internship programme, Mr Zhao shared insights into the innovation trends in the immersive technology industry with the students, highlighting the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) with augmented reality (AR) to transform spatial computing. Participants had the opportunity to try on various models of Rokid AR glasses and gained firsthand experience in AR gaming and entertainment.
Mr Zhao also encouraged the students to participate in the “Spatial Joy” 2024 Global AR Application Development Championship, which is hosted by Rokid.
