Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU) is pleased to form a strategic partnership with Cyberport), focusing on talent development, industry-academic collaboration, and emerging technologies. Together, we will expand internship and career opportunities, co-develp industry-based academic projects, and facilitate knowledge exchange to support Hong Kong’s AI and digital technology ecosystem.
Witnessed by Prof Sun Dong, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry; Prof Catherine Sun Tien-lun, Senior Vice President of HKSYU; and Mr Simon Chan, Chairman of Cyberport, the MoU was signed by Dr Jason Chow Tak-sang, Vice President (University Administration) of HKSYU and Dr Rocky Cheng, Chief Executive Officer of Cyberport.
HKSYU also participated as the Digital Humanities Partner at the “Digital Entertainment Leadership Forum 2026” (28–30 August), Cyberport’s annual flagship event. The University’s Industrial Attachment Office presented research outcomes using technologies such as AR, offering visitors insights into the University’s latest advancements in digital humanities. In addition, HKSYU showcased capstone projects from the “Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Media Design and Immersive Technology” programme under the Department of Journalism and Communication.
